CoD 2023 is getting DELAYED according to Jason Schreier a reporter working for Bloomberg, Schreier in recent months has broke news on multiple topics relating to Activision.
Today he broke the news that Call of Duty 2023 will be getting another year in development, allowing the studio ‘Treyarch’ to create something they can be proud to show the community.

This comes after multiple years of Treyarch having to cover for or even support other developers, recently being Sledgehammer Games title Call of Duty: Vanguard where Treyarch helps make the Zombies mode.
CoD 2023 Delayed
This game will be developed by Treyarch, the studio best known for the Zombies modes as well as the iconic Black Ops 2 Multiplayer, the game will now release in 2024.
This will be the first time in over 2 decades where Call of Duty will not be released on a yearly cycle which hopefully be a good breath of fresh air for the franchise.

According to reports, this comes after a recent entry into the series, Call of Duty: Vanguard failed to meet expectations making some executives believe they are making games too rapidly.

What Replaces Its Place?
You may be wondering what we will be getting instead of a new Call of Duty title if the planned release was delayed until 2024?
Rumors suggest that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II (2022) will be getting a “Steady Stream” of content for 2 years after release, as well as a Warzone 2 in 2023.
The Bloomberg article, also states that Activision has a Free-to-Play project expected to release in 2023 which Treyarch will be helping with the development with.
