Activision has just ramped up the hype for the highly anticipated sequel to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, today they revealed the release date for the game which will be in the month of October.
In a 1-minute long teaser trailer, they showed off massive portraits of the main characters of the game, to name a few, Ghost, Captain Price, and for the first time ever a character named Alejandro.
We also received some key dates to put on our calendars, being for the official reveal date, the campaign gameplay date, and the other being the Modern Warfare 2 release date.
Modern Warfare 2 Release Date
The sequel to the highest-selling Call of Duty of all time is right around the corner with marketing firing on all cylinders, in the coming months, we will see what we have to work with for the next 2 years.
At the end of the teaser trailer the Modern Warfare 2 release date was shown to be on October 28th, this aligns with previous rumors which stated that the game may launch earlier than normal.
Just in case you were wondering the game will launch on all platforms new and old, this includes PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC.
Official Reveal Trailer Date
With the crazy amount of hype around the release of Modern Warfare 2 people are itching to get their first peek at what the game visually looks like in action.
In the video, you can see a set of numbers and letters (J – 8 – 22) written on the side of a shipping container, Based on leaks this is when we are set to get an official reveal trailer.
Just in case you couldn’t translate the sequence, the trailer will be released on June 8th, 2022, shortly followed a day later by a Campaign Mission walkthrough at Summer Games Fest.
Campaign Gameplay Walkthrough Date
If you were looking forward to seeing some gameplay of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 then you need to mark your calendars for June 9th, 2022.

During the Summer Games Fest event, Infinity Ward will be showing off 7 minutes of gameplay from one of the Campaign missions within the game.
Along with the gameplay, they will have the Narrative Leads from the studio sit down and talk about the game and what it has to offer.
